Wondering what’s happening this winter with SOCT? Athletes and Unified Sports® partners are training for upcoming events like Winter Games happening February 28-March 1 and the Traditional Basketball Tournament taking place March 21. All the while, our volunteers are hard at work preparing to host at multiple venues spread out across Connecticut.
It doesn't matter if you prefer lakes or oceans - we have a Penguin Plunge for you! Our first two Plunges of the year are around the corner with plenty of time to still register and raise funds for our athletes.

Participants will receive a comprehensive fitness screening and education focused on strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance to support both sports performance and everyday wellness. Each person will also leave with a personalized workout plan tailored to their individual goals.
Families, coaches, and caregivers are welcome to attend and learn more about how to support healthy, active lifestyles.

Tickets Available for the 2026 Annual Awards Dinner
Join us for an evening of recognition and celebration as we honor outstanding athletes, volunteers, and supporters at our 2026 Annual Awards Dinner.
The event, generously hosted by the Calvanese Family, will take place at the Aqua Turf Club on Tuesday, March 31.
Tickets are $35 per guest - please purchase by Friday, March 20.
ION Bank Customers: Vote for SOCT in 2026 Community Awards
Special Olympics Connecticut has been selected to participate in the ION Bank Foundation’s Community Awards Program, running February 1 - March 1, 2026. ION Bank customers can vote to support their favorite nonprofit, with the Foundation donating $25 to SOCT for every vote - and up to $100,000 total to participating organizations.
